Strategic Plan
The Brazos County Regional Mobility Authority Strategic Plan is required by the Texas Transportation Code to be developed every two years. The plan is intended to identify specific steps the RMA will take over the subsequent five-year period to improve the transportation network in Brazos County. For the 2022 Strategic Plan, the RMA identified key transportation professionals representing local jurisdictions to develop the plan.

Regional Mobility Authorities in Texas: History and Current Status
An RMA is an independent local government agency authorized by state statute (Chapter 370, Transportation Code) with the main function of transportation project development, finance, and implementation. This research, conducted by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, documents the nine existing RMAs in Texas looking at both the history and current activities of RMAs from a statutory and operational standpoint in terms of successes, project implementation progress, and the varied approaches used in development and implementation.
